The integrate-storyteller skill is a set of instructions for AI coding
assistants. It guides an assistant through integrating Storyteller into your
app, auditing an existing integration, or troubleshooting a problem. The skill
reads your app's code first, then checks its answers against the published
Storyteller docs and names the pages and files it used.
The skill is in the private Storyteller Showcase repositories. To get access,
tell your Storyteller contact which GitHub account you want authorized, then
accept the GitHub invitation. If you can't open the repository after that, contact
[email protected].
Integrate. Gives step-by-step changes for your app, based on your code
and the relevant docs pages.
Audit. Reviews an existing integration and lists problems by severity,
from [P1] to [P3]. Each finding includes the evidence in your code and a
next step.
Troubleshoot. Investigates a problem using your code, the error or
behavior you describe, and the docs.
The skill uses only your code and the published docs. It needs network access
to the Storyteller docs, which it reads directly. It doesn't need your docs
access code.
Open your app's repository and the Showcase repository in the same
assistant session. For example, start Claude Code in your app's repository
with --add-dir <path-to-showcase>, or add both folders to your Codex or
Cursor workspace.
Ask your assistant to use the skill.
Assistants that load skills from a repository's .agents/skills/ folder, such
as Codex, find the skill automatically. Mention it by name:
Use $integrate-storyteller to help me integrate Storyteller into <path-to-my-app>.
In other assistants, point to the skill file:
Read .agents/skills/integrate-storyteller/SKILL.md in the Storyteller Showcase
repository and follow it to help me integrate Storyteller into <path-to-my-app>.
Integrate: "Use the Storyteller integration skill to add a row of Stories to
the home screen of <path-to-my-app>."
Audit: "Use the Storyteller integration skill to audit the Storyteller
integration in <path-to-my-app>. List material problems only."
Troubleshoot: "Use the Storyteller integration skill to find out why Clips
don't play in <screen>. Here's the log: <log>."
